Ken Reed is a Founder and Managing Director of Cape Trial Consulting and has over 25 years of litigation presentation experience. He has worked on more than 200 engagements in his career and worked in every major American city and Asia. Last year, Mr. Reed spent more than 200 days in court and war rooms supporting trials.

A former litigation paralegal, Mr. Reed brings his extensive litigation experience to bear in the courtroom and war room. Recently, he managed several multi-district product liability litigations and, in the past three years, has managed courtroom technology to successful conclusions in more than a dozen high-profile Product Liability cases, as well as dozens of other trials and hearings involving patents, mass tort pharmaceutical cases, and medical malpractice cases.

Mr. Reed is a published author and has given speeches and CLE seminars across the country on the applications and benefits of litigation technology, including “Using Technology as a Persuasive Litigation Tool.” Prior to founding Cape Trial Consultants, Ken worked at FTI Consulting for more than 20 years following a successful career in broadcasting and multimedia production where he worked for Industrial Light & Magic, Warner Bros, NBC Television, and, among others, was an on-air traffic reporter for CBS radio in Los Angeles. Ken was featured in the print edition of Legal Technology News in an article titled “They Call it The Hot Seat for a Reason.”

When not in trial, Mr. Reed divides his time between Dallas, TX, and Coastal North Carolina.

Kristy Strawbridge is a Dallas-native and has been working in the legal industry since 2005. Her career started as a Scopist for a court reporting firm. Kristy obtained her Paralegal Certificate in 2007 and began working in legal administration. She joined the LCI family in 2017. Kristy started her LCI career working as the Executive Assistant to Lisa and Todd, where they would source and prep a caseload of 3 to 4 trials a month. Now Kristy is the Director of Client Services and leads LCI’s growing KLM (Keep Litigation Moving) team. They are now consulting, sourcing, and prepping over 20 trials a month!

Kristy is known for her attention to detail, bullet points, and waving the “LCI Magic Wand” to make the impossible possible. She has sourced, prepped, and consulted on hundreds of trials across the country. No matter the city, the budget, the teams’ preferences, and trial certainty – Kristy and the KLM team will source and locate the best work and sleeping scenarios for the client. KLM is honored to work with some of the top trial teams in the country on the most high-profile trials. LCI understands that when you go to trial, there is much more to consider than reserving a few sleeping rooms and a meeting room at a hotel. KLM has successfully prepared trial teams of every size, every experience level, and overcome the most awkward and bizarre situations (the stories we could tell). Kristy and KLM team are available to consult and assist in any capacity and will customize their services to the support level the client needs.

When Kristy is not coordinating trial chaos at LCI, she spends her free time coordinating the chaos of her beautifully blended family of 6 kids.

KLM = Keep Litigation Moving: In 2022 Kristy Strawbridge, Lizbeth Villareal, and Marie Lora formed the original KLM team. “KLM” was created to communicate with all 3 members as they seamlessly worked together on all sourcing and Pre-Trial Logistics. As LCI grew, the need to expand the KLM team became necessary. Now KLM pays homage to the original 3 members but represents how LCI will work in the background to Keep Litigation Moving as they plan and prepare teams for trial, leaving the trial team available to work on the legal aspects of the trial.

Roman has 18 years of experience in Litigation Technology Support. Roman’s career commenced with him working as in-house support expert for a national law firm. This early experience enabled him to assist firms with large complex litigation trials across the country. As a lead trial presenter and consultant, Roman provides litigation support from database analysis and implementation to trial database preparation. Roman consults with clients nationally on anything trial related from electronic document discovery best practices to production strategies.

Roman is a Concordance Certified Software Administrator and has provided end-user training for various litigation support software including iPro, iConect and Sanction.

Roman enjoys traveling and exploring.
